Stone Ridge

Stone Ridge is a distinctive village with a designated historic district along its Main St. The Cornelius Wynkoop house is the centerpiece of this distinction and a contributing property to the Main Street Historic District. It is also on the National Register of Historic Places. Across the street is the historic Tock Tavern, where Washington’s troops once stayed, and was the place of the first meeting of the New York State Senate. Stone Ridge has a flourishing shopping center with stores and businesses, farm stands, and good restaurants.
