The Catskill Mountain Railroad Scenic Train is a 5 mile round trip between Mt. Tremper and Boiceville — an eye-popping 45-minute excursion along the Esopus Creek, famed for its scenic beauty and great fishing. Bald eagles, great blue herons, hawks, deer and other wildlife have been spotted along its banks. Framing the beautiful Esopus Valley on either side of the creek are namesake Mount Tremper to the north and Mount Pleasant and Romer Mountain to the south. No trip would be complete without a visit to the Empire State Railway Museum which is located inside the restored station building. Walk in and enjoy an exploration of railroading past and present along the old Ulster & Delaware route.
