The charming hamlet of Cottekill is located in the northwest area of the Town of Rosendale and crosses the border into the northeastern area of the Town of Marbletown. Located in the lovely Rondout Valley area, Cottekill is close to several Ulster County historical sites and outdoor activities. Homes can be found on large lots in this less dense area of Rosendale, mixed in among some working farms, whose fresh produce stands offer excellent local food during the summer. While conveniently located, Cottekill also provides the country atmosphere that characterizes this area of the Hudson Valley.
The State University of New York, Ulster County (SUNY Ulster) is nearby, making this a popular area for students and professors alike. Cottekill is 8 miles from Kingston, and 90 from New York City. With plenty to do in the community, the Marbletown-Rosendale Rail Trail adds to the outstanding outdoor activities available in this area of Ulster County. Cottekill is a great place to call home.
